Meet Our Teachers

Mr. Max is a Hong Kong born Native English Teacher, he graduated from Lingnan University in 2021 majoring in English language and communications. Mr. Max is equipped with 3 years of teaching experience, and loves being around kids. He hopes that all his students can excel and develop love and interest for the English language.

Mr Allan is from the small town of George in South Africa. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Communication and Culture and a TEFL qualification. Mr Allan has a passion for reading, writing and cinema. He is very excited about moving to Hong Kong and cannot wait to begin teaching students and finding fun ways for them to learn and enjoy his lessons.

For four years, Danielle worked for a nonprofit that helps refugees living in Canada. She moved to Hong Kong to learn how it feels to live in a country with a different culture and language. Danielle has a bachelor’s degree in English and a TEFL diploma. In her spare time, she loves reading and hiking.

Mr. Darren is an Environmental and Water Science graduate from Cape Town, South Africa. After completing his degree, he obtained his TEFL certificate and he worked as a teacher’s assistant at a local primary school. He enjoys spending most of his free time outside, either on the beach or in the mountains. Mr. Darren enjoys staying active. Surfing, skateboarding, tennis and soccer are a few of the sports he enjoys. He hopes to join a local soccer club in Hong Kong

Mr Justin is from Ballito - a coastal town in KZN, South Africa. He has a Bachelor’s of Commerce majoring in digital marketing and management sciences, he also achieved distinction in completing his international TEFL course. His greatest passions in life are to surf, travel, and help others. Justin has a newfound love for teaching and being able to empower others to speak the English language. He is super energetic and loads of fun to have as a teacher.

Ms Tarryn is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She graduated with an Honor’s degree in Geology from the University of Pretoria and thinks science is cool. Ms. Tarryn has always enjoyed sharing her knowledge and helping others to improve themselves. Ms. Tarryn hopes to aid the little Monkeys at Monkey Tree to realize their full potential in English and in life.
