Ms. Anaya is from the United Kingdom. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Swansea. She competed her TEFL in 2023. Her hobbies include hiking, drawing and travelling!

Ms. Ann is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Film, Visual, and Performing Arts, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. She loves working with children, enjoys all kinds of sports, and is happiest when spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Anton is from Cape Town, South Africa. He has experience teaching English in various settings such as schools and language centers. His approach to teaching emphasizes the ability to use English effectively in real-life situations. His classes are fun and engaging, and he loves helping students achieve their goals.

Miss Ayesha is passionate about unlocking her students' potential. She fosters creativity to make learning an engaging journey. An avid sports enthusiast and traveler, she enjoys immersing herself in new experiences as much as discovering new literary worlds.

Ms. Bri is from the United States. She holds a BS in Engineering from Penn State, but found her true passion in teaching. After moving around the world for several years as an English teacher, she has settled in Hong Kong. She enjoys being outdoors and exploring Hong Kong's Country Parks.

Miss B is from a small town in the North of Ireland. She lived, and worked as an English Teacher, in Hunan Province for over six years where she began her love of teaching English to students. In the classroom, she loves bringing games and creativity to the class. Outside the classroom, she loves travelling, trying to find the best vegetarian food in Hong Kong, and reading. She is very excited to join Monkey Tree and experience life in Hong Kong!

Miss Cara is from Manchester, England. She graduated with a bachelors degree in Professional Dance. Her hobbies include running, reading and travelling. Miss Cara is enthusiastic to create a fun environment and watch her learners grow!

Mr. Stefan is from sunny South Africa. He loves history, wildlife, and field hockey. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Divinity (Theology), an Advance Diploma in Project Management, and a certificate in Executive Couching and Counselling. Mr. Stefan is passionate about coaching and mentoring young learners, helping them to develop and excel.

Ms Carla is a qualified teacher. She loves to go on hikes and to the beach. Her favourite snack is the Salmon Sushi Triangles from 7 Eleven.

Miss Chanté is from Johannesburg, South Africa, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She is committed to providing quality education and fostering a supportive environment for students. Her hobbies include painting, traveling, and exploring. She is excited to create a fun and valuable learning experience for her students!

Chizel is from beautiful Cape Town, South Africa. She loves fun, new adventures and loves anything outdoors and sunny. Chizel believes that when we create a safe and fun environment, anyone can learn and grow.

Mr. Chris is from Durban, South Africa. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Ichthyology and Fisheries Science in 2024 and completed his TEFL Certificate shortly after. Mr. Chris has a passion for the outdoors, where you can find him fishing, bodyboarding, golfing, or hiking whenever the opportunity arises. Mr. Chris is looking forward to inspiring his students and bringing the same positive energy toward teaching his students at Monkey Tree. 

Mr. Daniel is from the UK. He has been living in Hong Kong for three years now. He has a kind heart and is very passionate about educating children. He is a singer, songwriter and loves helping children become more confident. He enjoys hiking and doing outdoor activities. Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Daniel worked in playgroups and nurseries in England.

Mr. Dan is a teacher who loves to help students learn and grow. He loves people and life, and wants to help others become the best version of themselves. Mr. Dan is great at teaching English in a fun way, he makes learning exciting and easy to understand, so students can feel happy and proud of regarding their progress!

Mr. Darryn is from South Africa where he completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of South Africa. After working in the aviation and boiler industries, he decided to pursue a career in teaching. He completed his TEFL course and looks forward to studying further in the field of education. He is excited to be teaching in Hong Kong and cannot wait to explore! Mr. Darryn enjoys travelling and loves all kinds of sports and music.

Ms.Darya holds a BA and a MA in English Studies. She enjoys exploring the city and learning about its culture. She is interested in music and cinematography.

Ms. Dayna is a dedicated and passionate educator who brings enthusiasm and creativity to every lesson. With a strong commitment to her students' success, she strives to inspire a love for learning and curiosity in every classroom.

De Villiers loves watching learners develop into a more confident version of themselves, as they improve on their English. He also loves going hiking and exploring new places, he always did that back in Cape Town, South Africa. De Villiers, is a very long name, so he always tells the learners to refer to him to as, "Mr. DV" instead.

Denise is from Johannesburg, South Africa. She studied Animal Health at the University of South Africa. She enjoys languages and teaching and has taught Ballroom Dancing for 10 years.

Mr. Moataz holds a B.A. in English and has 3 years of teaching experience. He previously worked as a teaching assistant at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, USA for a year. Mr. Moataz is passionate about language education and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with the students at Monkey Tree.

Mr. Drew is a British teacher who prides himself on energy and enthusiasm when teaching. He graduated with a BA in writing. After teaching for two years in the mainland, Mr. Drew has developed an aptitude for education and hopes to hone his skills to help the children in Hong Kong. In his free time, Mr. Drew maintains an active lifestyle, with football and running among his favorite pastimes.

Eden is a British educator and elite classical musician from the UK, and attended the prestigious Pate's Grammar School. After graduating from a global top 5 music university, Eden became TEFL Qualified (Level 5). Having previously tutored high-achievers in the UK, he now strives for excellence with his students in Hong Kong!

Elizabeth Biek has received her degree in Creative Media. She is thrilled to be working with the other Monkey Tree faculty to help children better their skills in English.

Miss Emilia is from the Isle of Wight, England. She studied Criminology at The University of The West of England. Emilia enjoys reading, cooking and exploring the beaches of Hong Kong.

Eric has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is TEFL certified. He enjoys helping young learners build confidence in English and brings energy and structure to every lesson. A big football fan and fitness lover, he believes learning should be active, fun, and rewarding.

Mr Ethan is a passionate elementary teacher and sports coach from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He moved to Hong Kong in 2024 to grow as a teacher and to make a difference in his students’ lives. He enjoys collaborating with his students, making meaningful relationships and exploring the unknown.

Miss Eugenia is a qualified and enthusiastic teacher, who enjoys being around children. She has been teaching English for eight years in mainland China, Russia and Hong Kong. Her goal is to help her students not only to fall in love with the language, but also make them feel confident while speaking. She creates a positive classroom environment where the students can explore and achieve with confidence.

Mr. Finn is an English teacher from England who is enthusiastic and friendly. He has a degree in psychology from the University of Swansea, and loves learning new things. His hobbies include cooking, guitar and reading.

Ms Gayle is from Durban, South Africa. She has a heart for working with children and a deep understanding of the importance of early childhood development. Ms Gayle enjoys the beach, swimming and spending quality time with family.

Heidi is a dedicated teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, immersing herself in different worlds and stories. Known for her friendly and caring nature, she builds strong relationships with her students and colleagues alike. Heidi believes that education should be both informative and enjoyable.

Jordan is excited to be teaching English in Hong Kong. They enjoy helping children discover the joy of learning and building their confidence in using English. Jordan’s lessons are creative, engaging, and tailored to meet the needs of young learners. As a responsible and dedicated teacher, Jordan is committed to creating a positive learning environment where every child feels supported. They look forward to guiding students as they grow in both skill and confidence.

Ms. Karla is from South Africa. She graduated with a Bachelors in Education and is studying towards a Bachelors in Criminology. She loves running, traveling and being adventurous. Her passion is to inspire young minds to reach their full potential.

Mr.Kyle is a very energetic and positive person, his enthusiasm towards teaching is infectious and well received. Kyle enjoys teaching and feed off the energy of his students. Although Asia is a new place for Kyle, he has embraced the culture with excitement and vigor.

Ms. Laura is from Ireland. She holds a degree in Business studies and accounting and has also completed a post grad in counselling and Psychotherapy. In her spare time, she loves to travel. She also loves to hike and explore nature.

Ms. Leah is a teacher from western Canada. She is enthusiastic about all things film, television and literature. She spends her off time exploring Hong Kong and trying new things. Leah enjoys singing and teaching her students about life in Canada.

Miss Leandra is from South Africa. She is a very objective orientated teacher. She is passionate about facilitating an efficient learning environment. She is reliable and empathetic with her students.

Leigh is a kind and compassionate teacher. She was born in South Africa, where she graduated from UFS with a degree in Media Studies and Journalism. Her hobbies are reading, hiking and geocaching.

Mr.Lloyd is a passionate educator with a strong dedication to fostering learning and inspiring students. With a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and TEFL certificate, he has spent the past three years teaching, honing his skills in the classroom, while creating engaging and dynamic learning experiences. In addition to his commitment to education, Lloyd is passionate about traveling, spending time outdoors, playing sports, and meeting new people.

Mr.Mark is an English teacher who likes nature and the outdoors. Mark likes to run, exercise and make friends. He also likes the mountains here in Hong Kong. One day he wants to climb the mountain on Lantau Island. Mark's favorite place in Hong Kong is Disneyland.

Martin is from a small town in South Africa. He is a student in the school of life and enjoys learning about nature, cultures, and history. In his free time, he enjoys being outside, playing sports, watching films, and he is always keen for a board game. He believes that when we seize the day, we can achieve great things!

Mr. Martin obtained a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design in South Africa before becoming a lecturer (teacher). He has worked (as a fashion stylist) in New York, Paris, and all over the African continent. He has experience teaching young adults and is passionate about transferring his knowledge. He enjoys exploring different markets, cultures, and food and also enjoys making small leather items by hand in his free time.

Miss Martine is from Cape Town, South Africa. She studied at the University of Stellenbosch completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After her studies, Miss Martine went abroad to teach in Thailand, and she has since then travelled and worked in many countries around the world. She is excited to start her new chapter in Hong Kong teaching at Monkey Tree.

Miss. Maxine who graduated with Honour’s in Communications and completed the TEFL Level 5 (180 hours) Certificate. She is a positive person with an enthusiastic outlook on life; she loves being outdoors, learning about new cultures and is a big foodie! Teaching is her passion, and student development is the goal. By achieving a positive impact on her students future, she already knows that she‘s winning at her job!

Ms. Michelle is from South Africa and has a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry. Michelle has taught in Thailand and decided to come to Hong Kong to also experience the food and the culture of Hong Kong. Michelle loves traveling and staying active.

Mila is a biology graduate with a passion for exploration and is always on the lookout for new adventures. With a background working with kids, she brings enthusiasm and energy to every encounter. When she's not discovering new places, she's cultivating her love for learning and making meaningful connections.

Mr. Nick was born and raised in South Africa. After completing his degree and post graduate in business, he realized he had a passion for education. He has spent the last two years in the education sector, helping students from all walks of life, to achieve their goals and make their dreams come true. 

Mr Philip is from South Africa. Over the past few years, he travelled around the world teaching English. To master the English language, Mr Philip puts a lot of focus on speaking. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and horse riding.

Mr. Ryan is from the United Kingdom and studied a BA in Archaeology at University. A trained historical site investigator, passionate in video, programming, and 3D media, he believes his patience for problem solving at a professional level is an asset in assisting young learners on their education journey.

Mr. Ryan is from Cape Town, South Africa. He graduated with a bachelor commerce finance degree. He loves sports and doing anything that is fitness related! He chose Hong Kong as it is an amazing place for all the things he enjoys, especially teaching. He can’t wait to bring his own enthusiasm to Monkey Tree!

Mr. Sam was born and raised in Devon, UK. Obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Geography at Coventry University, he then completed his TEFL qualification six months later in 2023. He is eager to start his new life in Hong Kong and is thrilled to be working with the other Monkey Tree faculty to help children better their skills in English.

Simoné Smit is an enthusiastic teacher from South Africa who is passionate about working with children. She enjoys spending time in nature and being creative. Simoné believes in fostering a fun and engaging learning environment where students can develop their English skills.

Mr. Tristan originates from Cape Town, South Africa. He has obtained a BA degree in Strategic Brand Communications. He is passionate about sports and enjoys travelling, visiting the beach and hiking in his free time. Tristan wants to ensure that he creates an engaging environment for his students to learn.

Mr. Carel is from Cape Town, South Africa. After he completed his Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Mr. Carel worked as the Training Coordinator and English Teacher for a hotel group in the Maldives. He decided to move to Hong Kong to explore a different side of the world and meet new people. He enjoys studying different languages and is currently fluent in five languages. Mr. Carel is passionate about teaching.
