Miss Bianca is thrilled to be a part of the Monkey Tree team, bringing her diverse experiences from living in Indonesia, China, and Canada. With a Bachelor’s degree in History and a CELTA certification, she creates an engaging classroom environment that fosters critical thinking. Miss Bianca is excited to support her students in their learning journeys!

Mr. Chris is from Durban, South Africa. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Ichthyology and Fisheries Science in 2024 and completed his TEFL Certificate shortly after. Mr. Chris has a passion for the outdoors, where you can find him fishing, bodyboarding, golfing, or hiking whenever the opportunity arises. Mr. Chris is looking forward to inspiring his students and bringing the same positive energy toward teaching his students at Monkey Tree. 

Ms Diva studied marketing at University of Tasmania. She is fun, outgoing and loves to be around her young learners. She enjoys travelling, eating, being with her dog and kayaking! Every lesson could be a new adventure and assured fun with her.

Mr. Gerrit is from Bloemfontein, South Africa. He is a qualified tradesman and has a TEFL certificate. He likes sport like Rugby, Golf and Soccer. He also likes traveling with his wife, discovering new places and cuisine.

Mr Jayred is from South Africa. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science and Psychology Mr Jayred is passionate about creating a positive and supportive learning environment. In his free time, he enjoys martial arts, reading, exploring and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Miss Layla has a background in psychology and English, which helps her understand and support her students’ learning needs. She loves working with children and is dedicated to creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment where they can grow in confidence while improving their language skills

Mr. Ellis is a English teacher from Toronto, Canada. He loves the outdoors, tennis and education. He has worked previously as an outdoor education instructor for 4 summers in the Northern Canadian wilderness where he acquired a passion for teaching and a love of nature.
