Mr. Aron is from the city of Cape Town in South Africa. He attended Stellenbosch University and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems. He spent a year working at a digital marketing agency where he was responsible for implementing advertising campaigns for a variety of online businesses. He recently decided that he wanted to travel the world and thus went into teaching. During his free time, you can find him enjoying nature, either relaxing in its peacefulness or hiking around the city’s many beautiful trails. He is excited about beginning his teaching career with Monkey Tree in Hong Kong.
Ms. Kirstin is from Cape Town, South Africa. She completed her degree in Social Work at the University of Cape Town and then spent some time teaching English in Korea and Switzerland. She has spent the last few years working with children as a social worker at an NGO in Cape Town. She loves reading, travelling, and is excited to be teaching in Hong Kong.
Ms. Ash (Ashleigh) is all the way from Sunny South Africa and is very excited to be in Hong Kong to share her knowledge and experience. Ms. Ash obtained a degree in Psychology from the University of Pretoria. Ms. Ash is passionate about teaching children and decided to leave her job in Sales and take on this huge responsibility. She loves travelling and meeting people. She is very excited about teaching in Hong Kong and can't wait to meet and learn from the kids.
Ms. Monique taught English in South Korea and Germany after graduating from the University of Johannesburg in 2013. She enjoys finding good food and views in Hong Kong. She is excited to be a part of the Monkey Tree family.
Mr. Brett comes from the United States of America. He has two Bachelors degrees in Theatre and Psychology with TEFL and TESOL certification. After working in higher education for nearly ten years, Brett was ready for a change of pace and has always considered teaching English to children as his next step in life. Brett is so excited to be here to start this new stage in life and to experience all that Hong Kong has to offer. He enjoys music, cooking, outdoor activities, sports and reading.
Mr. Rob has moved all the way to Hong Kong, from Chichester in the United Kingdom. He graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2016, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following university, Mr. Rob obtained a 140-hour TEFL teaching qualification. Wanting to seek an exciting change and new pace of life, Mr. Rob has moved to Hong Kong to teach English. Mr. Rob enjoys cycling, making food, and trying new things.
Ms. Amy is from the Eastern Cape in South Africa. She completed her TEFL certification in 2016 and obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree in English and Sociology from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2017. She travelled to Hong Kong on holiday and thought it would be a nice place to live and work. She hopes to travel to many new places and learn a lot of new things, as well as experience all that Hong Kong has to offer. Amy enjoys reading, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and learning new things.
Ms. Frankie is from the very friendly northern England, although she grew up in sunny Mallorca, Spain. She studied Tourism Management and Marketing at York St. John University, graduating in 2016. From there she spent 2 years working for Visit York, York's Tourism board. She worked as a Visitor Information Assistant promoting York's attractions and culture and supporting city-wide events. She is in Hong Kong looking for adventure and new experiences. Ms. Frankie is a very positive and hard-working person. Her hobbies include writing, reading, travelling and anything food related.
