Born in Australia and growing up in the Netherlands and Spain, Ben Caselin has a rich cultural experience. He studied Cultural Anthropology at Utrecht University and Global Migration at University College London. In addition to doing research into educational endeavours in West Africa and the United Kingdom, he has served as a regional coordinator for an empowerment programme for young learners in the Netherlands and taught English to college students in China. Based on his experiences and research, he understands the role of an educator holistically. Beyond assisting students in developing their linguistic competency, as a teacher he also feels responsible for providing ethical, emotional and practical guidance. In line with the educational philosophy underlying Monkey Tree's mode of operation, he perceives children as a mine, rich in gems, which only education can uncover.
Ms. Kirsten was born in Namibia and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She has a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship, has been teaching for the past 6 years and has just completed her degree in Education. In her spare time, you will find Ms. Kirsten cooking up a storm, decorating cakes, making jewelry or hiking/travelling to beautiful places! Teaching young learner's is a huge passion of hers and she is thrilled to be a part of the Monkey Tree family in Hong Kong!
Ms Tiffany is from Bristol in the United Kingdom. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Counselling. Ms. Tiffany is very excited to be living in an amazing city like Hong Kong and to join the Monkey Tree team.
Mr Michael is from South Africa. He enjoys a variety of sports and loves traveling in his free time. After working as a project manager for 2 years, he developed a passion for teaching and took up a second job to teach Chinese students over weekends. Today Michael is living out his passion for teaching by working for Monkey Tree. He is looking forward to the future and he is excited for the adventures still to come!
Ms Winnie was born and raised in England. Prior to Monkey Tree, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications and worked in various Public Relations roles located in London, before completing her TEFL training and moving to Hong Kong. She enjoys exploring new cities, restaurant hunting and kayaking. She looks forward to be a part of Monkey Tree and meeting all the students!
Mr. Savoi was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has a degree in Politics and International Relations, a certificate in Business Risk Management, and a 150-hour Master TEFL course. Mr. Savoi loves to travel and learn about new cultures, play sport and keep active. Mr. Savoi is very sociable and enjoys interacting with children.
