Mr. Jake

Mr. Jake is from England. He has BA (Hons) degree in History from the University of Derby. Prior to Monkey Tree, Mr Jake has taught History at A level, and has taught in South Korea. He enjoys playing and watching football, being a big Manchester United fan, and he also enjoys playing table tennis.

Mr. Hendro

Mr. Hendro is a 26-year-old from Pretoria, South Africa. He studied Psychology and Anthropology. He is excited to discover new cultures, learn from them and if possible teach a new generation the wonders of English.

Mr. Charl

Mr. Charl is from South Africa. He has previously been a volunteer teacher for special needs children at public schools. He has also been a supplementary tutor for university students. After graduating with a degree in psychology and sociology, he decided to focus on teaching English as a second language to young students.

Mr. Jon

Mr Jon is from UK. He graduated from Aberystwyth University with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing in 2016. In his spare time, he is a keen sportsman, enjoying football and bouldering, as well as having a passion for reading. He is excited to experience the unique culture of Hong Kong and to meet his students!

Mr. Royston

Mr Royston comes from Christchurch, New Zealand. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from the University of Canterbury. He has previously taught English in Beijing. This made him fall in love with all things Asian. He loves eating delicious food and exploring new places. He hopes to expand his teaching abilities and learn new things here in Hong Kong.

Mr. Reece

Mr Reece was born in the United Kingdom. He is from a small town called Warrington. He recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. Before joining Monkey Tree, Mr. Reece was teaching students how to play the guitar for 3 years. Mr. Reece enjoys running, sightseeing and football. He is looking forward to working for the Monkey Tree team.

Mr. Luke

Mr Luke is from South Africa. More specifically, he is from a small town called Underberg. Mr Luke is looking forward to living in a big city and really looking forward to teaching young students English. Mr Luke likes to play sport and go hiking during his free time.
