Mr Sam is from Manchester, England. He graduated for University of Manchester with a degree in Ancient History. For the past few years Mr Sam worked in clinical research investigating the usefulness of a new inhaler for people with Asthma. Mr Sam first came to Hong Kong in 2014 and decided straight away that he one day wanted to move here. He used the next few years to save, plan and complete his TEFL qualification. Mr Sam is very excited to become a member of the Monkey Tree family and can’t wait to begin teaching his new students. In his spare time, he likes to play football, read, go to the gym and explore the many wonderful sites in Hong Kong.
Born in South Africa, Mr. James attended university in Cape Town and Kwa-Zulu Natal, finishing with a degree in Politics and Environmental Science. After ten years of competitive gymnastics, he became a coach for five years and as a result, has experience working with children of all ages. He has a passion for teaching and loves the idea of being able to make a difference in the lives of others. .
Ms Marina comes from a small farming town in South Africa called Kokstad. Ms. Marina loves traveling and has worked in Europe as a flight attendant, as well as America in summer holiday camps. She obtained her honors degree in Audiology, at the university of Pretoria in South Africa; and subsequently after graduating she opened up her private practice in South Africa; where she worked with infants and young children, as well as older patients who were hard of hearing. Ms. Marina loves adventure and being outdoors, especially hiking and running. She is very excited to be in Hong Kong and working with the children.
