Mr. Tarek

Mr. Tarek was born and raised in South Africa. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Business Management. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music and playing sports. Mr. Tarek worked as a Procurement and Logistics Manager before completing his TEFL training and moving to Hong Kong.

Mr. Davis

Mr. Davis is from Venice Beach, California. He graduated from Eugene Lang College with a degree in Visual Arts. Mr. Davis worked extensively with children as a youth football coach before obtaining his TEFL Certification and joining the Monkey Tree Team in 2018. He has a passion for working with children and philanthropy. He is also a lover of the arts, football, music, and traveling. He is looking forward to exploring the city and getting in touch with his Cantonese roots.

Mr. Alex

Mr. Alex was born and raised in Devon, UK. He studied Mandarin and International Relations undergraduate at University of Westminster in London and did his masters in Chinese/English Translation & Interpreting at Nottingham University. A keen linguist with an interest in teaching. Mr. Alex has come to Hong Kong to learn Cantonese and help youngsters with their English, hoping to instill them with the same passion for languages that he has!

Mr. Sean

Mr. Sean is from Montreal Canada, he is 28 years old. Sean studied History at Concordia University in Montreal. He moved to Hong Kong in November of 2017 and instantly fell in love with the city. He loves teaching kids and when he isn’t at Monkey Tree, he likes to spend his time reading and cooking.

Mr. Jake

Mr. Jake is from a small town called Ilkeston, in the Midlands area of England. He has BA (Hons) degree in History from the University of Derby. Prior to Monkey Tree, Mr Jake has taught History at A level (16-18-year olds), and has taught young children in South Korea. He enjoys playing and watching football, being a big Manchester United fan, and he also enjoys playing table tennis. Mr. Jake also enjoys experiencing new cultures, and he can't wait to become immersed in the culture of Hong Kong.

Mr. Jako

Mr. Jako was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. He studied Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Pretoria. Mr. Jako spent two years working in the tourism industry as a river guide in Namibia. He loves nature and enjoys long walks on the beach, hiking, kayaking and anything outdoors. Mr. Jako came to Hong Kong to experience the culture and explore the beautiful scenery. He is very excited to start his teaching career.
